Indus Motor Company by Toyota Japan is planning to launch a Corolla Crossover SUV in Pakistan. Earlier this year Toyota has launched this vehicle in the Thailand auto market. After the launch in Thailand, there was a rumor about the launch in Pakistan.
The hit trend of SUVs and Crossovers at the international market also affects the Pakistan local market. The sale of SUVs shows a positive response meanwhile sedans sale response is negative. In the past the trend of sedans high just because of its styling and small design but now the trend of big vehicles and high ground riding is a crush. The market of SUVs shows the highest response as compared to the sedans. As we have seen how KIA Sportage and Hyundai Tucson gain the consumer even after the increase in its prices. We don’t have compared Corolla Cross to any crossover and SUVs because there is no idea about the price. Earlier company has launched the Yaris sedan with different variants but the variants of the Corolla Crossover are not confirmed.

Toyota Corolla Cross
After the exclusive launching of Corolla Crossover in Thailand Pakistani consumer of Crossovers waiting for its launch in Pakistan. Its launch shall be a great positive response for the company. The company has confirmed that they will offer a CBU (Completely Built Unit) of crossover from Thailand. The shape and design of the Thailand model are just luxurious and alluring. The high chances of this upcoming model will compete in the market of KIA Sportage and Hyundai Tucson. By the information of the international model, the vehicle can easily hit its competitor’s market but maybe it takes time to fit in the market if it came with a high price tag.
Earlier IMC has launched a new variant of Fortuner “TRD variant” with the same features and style of present variants. Fortuner is a top-selling SUV of the local market. The launch of its new variant increases the chances of new generation launching.

Corolla Cross Thailand
However, the Thailand model offers all the traditional features of the company. It gets a TNGA-C platform that is made for both class FWD and AWD vehicles. The company has used the same platform in the 12th generation corolla and in CH-R. There are two engine options available standard variant FWD is 1.8L 2ZR-FBE that can produce 140hp and 175Nmof torque with the CVT transmission. While the other variant is Hybrid that is also paired with a 1.8L 2ZR-FXE engine which can make 98hp and 142Nm of torque. The electric motor is paired with 72hp and 163Nm of torque and its work conjunction with a gasoline engine.
The look of the Crossover never changed the company has offered its same SUVs look in this vehicle. Although it’s not comparable with the corolla sedan because of its offers an aggressive front grille. The wheel’s size is optional for both variants 17-inch or 18-inch.
As of interior its seems like the 12th generation Corolla floating infotainment system, digital cluster, and HAVC control. The Thailand model offers seating capacity for 5 persons but the space for luggage is huge. Meanwhile, the sunroof is optional but there is no panoramic roof.

Conclusion
The possible chances of Corolla Cross are great news but still, the price is a big concern of consumers. There is no expected price announced by the company but it seems like the price will go high as compared to the other SUVs available in the market. The price of CBU units high in the market as we have seen the price of Prius and Rush. Beware from the fraudulent companies who are offer booking of Corolla cross until there is no official announcement issued by the IMC.
