Overview

Earlier the Ministry of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said that Government to be announced new vehicle standards in Pakistan for all local auto manufacturers. The news has break on the Ministry of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry’s tweet.

Furthermore, he said it’s hard for us to set new standards and we have faced many problems to set off new standards. We have sent the initial standards to the cabinet for approval and it will be approved within one month.

Continues Increasing Car Prices

Car prices in Pakistan increase continuously and the increase price of Hyundai Tucson after one day of its launching surprised its customers and effect the sale. Hyundai Nishat has increased the price of Tucson GLS Sport FWD by Rs 200,000 as well Tucson Ultimate AWD price has increased by Rs 200,000.

In the line of increasing car prices Hyundai is not alone Honda Atlas, Pak Suzuki, IMC Toyota and ISUZU is also included. ISUZU has mention the reason behind the price hike of ISUZU D-MAX by up to Rs 860,000 because of new tax imposed in the budget 2020-21 on double cabin vehicle. Honda Atlas and Pak Suzuki has increase the prices of its car and motorbikes even government has announced relief for motorist in budget 2020-21. Meanwhile there is no additional tax imposed by the government on vehicles expect double cabin vehicles. The rate of dollar is also stable from the last few months but price of vehicles in Pakistan never stand at one point.

The government has previously announced that new safety standards will introduce in Pakistan and now it’s prior to improve standards. The initial step of the Federal Ministry controls the import of vehicles in Pakistan.
