A well-known multinational automotive brand Kia’s all-new 5th gen Kia Sportage and Sportage hybrid for 2023 has awarded by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) 2022 TOP SAFETY PICK (TSP) award. The Sportage is supported by Kia’s brand-new third-generation N3 platform for 2023 and offers a variety of standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.
COO and Executive Vice President of Kia America Statement:

According to the COO and Executive Vice President of Kia America Steven Center, the award makes the Sportage the ninth Kia vehicle to receive either a 2022 TSP or Top Safety Pick+ (TSP+) certification. It also applies to the Sportage and Sportage Hybrid when fitted with LED projector headlights.
Sportage, Kia’s longest-running brand keeps improving with each generation, and the fifth generation offers everything, especially safety, for today’s informed, daring, and environmentally sensitive purchasers of small SUVs. The third generation N3 platform from Kia serves as the foundation for the new Sportage, which offers a host of standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, such as Lane Keeping Assist, Rear Occupant Alert, and Forward Collision Avoidance with Cyclist Detection (LKA).
Kia Vehicles Receive Top Safety Pick (TSP) Rating:

A vehicle must receive good ratings in all six crashworthiness tests to earn a TSP rating. The crashworthiness tests include driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, original side, roof strength, and head restraint tests as well as advanced or Superior ratings for evaluations of the prevention of vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian front crashes. A minimum of one headlight system on the vehicle must also have a good or acceptable rating.
Kia Vehicles receive the 2022 Top Safety Pick (TSP) rating, the Kia K5 and Stinger qualified as TSP+ winners, while the Kia Telluride, Sorento, Seltos, and Carnival has built in March 2021 with specific headlights. Kia Sportage, portage Hybrid, and Soul with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights also received TSP awards for 2022 earlier this year.
