The problem affects Which Trims:<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The problem in the Nissan Rogue affects only the S trim level. This is much famous for its \u201cJackknife design\u201d key that could now collapse and could be the reason for the vehicle to shut off on the roads while driving.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The owners of the Rogue are being told to use the ignition key without any attached accessories to it. Only use a key unfolded until you get a recall from the company. The next first notification is set to go out to owners on 17th March.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Nissan has notified (NHTSA):<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The company Nissan has now notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration which is now recalling exactly 712,458 Rogue and the new Rogue sport SUVs in the United States has a problem with the ignition key.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The key to Nissan Rogue is Jackknife which collapses while driving. The issue is exclusively coming to the Base S level trims of the Rogue and Rogue Sport and it involves 517,472 Rogue and around 194,986 Rogue Sport models in the United States.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What about other trims and Models?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

While on the other side, other trims of the Nissan Rogue and Rogue sports produced more recently have an intelligent key. Because the jackknife style is no longer getting used in the SUVs according to Nissan. The Company Nissan<\/strong><\/a> advises hid owners to avoid attaching any kind of accessory to the key fob. Use the key in the non-folding Position, and dealers and rental fleets will be instructed. On a way to insert the key faster into the key slot. The Nissan will add a spacer into the key slot of the owner\u201d key fob. So the key will no longer collapse with their hand.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The company Nissan has also issued a \u201cstop scale\u201d order which means dealers are unable to sell, lease, and rent any affected vehicle in their inventory. Until the fix is successfully applied to the SUVs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
