As per the media report, the department has taken this step in an effort to reduce traffic accidents on highways and save precious lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-speed-limit-to-100-kmph-on-motorways\">Speed Limit To 100 KMPH on Motorways:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/autodeals-blog.wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Speed-Limit-To-100-KMPH-on-Motorways-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-96257\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a spokesman of the Motorway Police, The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHP) has reduced the speed limit on the M2 motorway, from Thokar Niaz Baig to Ravi Toll Plaza section of the Lahore-Islamabad of Light Exchange Vehicles (LTVs) from 120 km per hour (KPH) to 100 km per hour (KPH) and from 110 km per hour (KPH) to 80 km per hour (KPH) for Duty Vehicles (HTV) also known as Commercial Trucks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, the new speed limit will also be applicable on the Pindi Bhattian-Multan Motorway (M-4), Lahore to Sambarial section on Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11), and on Ismail Khan Motorway (M-14) from Hakla-Dera to York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-could-be-the-reason\">What Could be the Reason?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/autodeals-blog.wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/What-Could-be-the-Reason-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-96258\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Details indicate that the HMP department stated that they had made the decision to lower the speed restriction on specific sections of various motorways in order to make driving on highways safe and prevent any unexpected incidents. The National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) has reduced the speed limit on specific sections of many different motorways due to the approaching foggy winter season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHMP), which regularly modifies speed limits during periods of poor visibility, also shared the new speed limits for motorists and urged them to exercise caution. The decision to lower the speed limit has been taken by the department following analysis and investigation of the accidents.
