Now the National Highway and Motorway Police have started a campaign against unauthorized license plates on Motorways. They have decided that there will be a restriction to enter the motorway if any vehicle will have an unauthorized number plate installed on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such vehicles will not be allowed to enter Motorways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reason<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This decision was made to encourage the use of standard number plates and due to some security issues. Unauthorized number plates are difficult to capture on speed cameras and security cameras installed on the motorway and within the cities. That\u2019s why they have decided to start a campaign against unauthorized number plates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This campaign is also started to check the registration status of the vehicle traveling on the roads and highways. The unauthorized plates are difficult to track whereas the authorized number plates will help the authorities to track the vehicle properly and it will enable them to identify suspicious vehicles and to take actions against the owners of the vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Actions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Highway and Motorway authorities have decided that they have taken certain measurements to avoid violations on Highways and motorways. The most significant change is that they have increased the fine on violations. Current fines are decided about 25 to 30 years ago and these are the same since the last amendments. The authorities have decided to revise the fines to avoid violations on highways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/autodeals-blog.wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/NHMP-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-92057\" width=\"770\" height=\"440\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The current fine related to a driving license is PKR 1,000 and an imprisonment of 6 months. It will be increased up to PKR 5,000 and imprisonment will be increased to two years. Same as this the current fine for over-speeding is PKR 500 to PKR 1,000 and imprisonment is up to one month. The fine for over-speeding will be increased to PKR 2,500 to PKR 5,000 and imprisonment will be increased to 5 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hopefully, these actions taken by the NHMP authorities will help to reduce crimes, violations, and accidents on the Highways and Motorways.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There were several campaigns in past by City Traffic Police and Punjab Police about unofficial and unauthorized number plates.
