In 2009 they started their production facility in Chakan near Pune which is spread over 100 acres. In 2015 they expanded their production facility located in the same location. They are not also producing for India but also playing an important role in CKD\/MVP production network in Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mercedes has invested above INR 260 billion and now it becomes the largest working production plant for any opulent carmaker in India. Mercedes-Benz India has the largest distribution network in 48 Indian cities with about 100 outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2021 Mercedes-Benz\u2019s motto is to \u201cReimagine Excellence\u201d and offer its customer the most desirable and long-lasting products and services. Mercedes has now equipped its vehicles with different features like Mercedes I connect which is now deployed with over the air (OTA) to all Indian customers with connected cars: Alexa integration, Google Home Integration, and Parking Solutions POIs in Navigation. IN 2021 Mercedes-Benz decided on the advanced and customer-focused \u2018direct to customer model, called \u2018Retail of the Future (ROTF)\u2019. According to this new business plan, Mercedes-India will have the entire stock of cars, will sell them, via advance booking, and invoice the new cars directly to the clients, process the order, and will fulfill them, offering them transparent prices and purchasing experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Made-in-India:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to very high demand for the most luxurious vehicle in India, Mercedes-Benz India decided to launch its CKD unit in India, and finally, they have launched its first Made-in-India Mercedes Benz S-Class in India at the starting price of 16.2 million INR for S-Class S450 4matic and 15.7 million INR for S-Class S350d and both of these prices are ex-showroom prices. Previously prices were very higher because they used to import CBU units and due to duties and taxes the prices were higher. Previous S-Class S450 4matic was available at the price of 21.7 million INR and 21.9 million for S400d 4matic and these prices were also ex-showroom prices. From the initial release till now the S-Class was sold in CBU units. Mercedes has already won the award of 2021 World Luxury Car in India and received enormous response due to this. Due to its increasing demand and prodigious response from the customers, the company has decided to start its production in India from their Chakan plant in Pune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Features:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially and visually, it seems that Made-in-India Mercedes will hang on to all the designated elements from its CBU mother with some additional ingredients a new amazing grille with three parallel slats, Lustrous, and smooth LED Head Lamps, and will be offered with the latest and amazing Driving Assistance 5.0. It will include a Distronic Plus\u00ae with steering assist, Blind Spot Assist or Active blind spot assist, and lane-keep assist. Both engines transfer their power to all four wheels with the help of 9-speed automatic transmission.
