Lead Infiniti designer Alfonso Albaisa and his team then set to work on the car, with Nissan\u2019s advanced\u00a0engineering and area of expertise vehicle divisions also being involved.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4867\" src=\"https:\/\/autodeals.pk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/infiniti_-_prototype_9_-_12_aug_2017_-_21-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"530\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Many notions don\u2019t lope and coerce, but the Project 9 is a completely operational prototype. It obtains its inspiration from an electric motor (comparable to the one that will power the new Leaf) which creates 148 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. It may not make much sense, but it\u2019s sufficient to drive the 1,962 lb racer from 0-60 in a respectable 5.5-seconds and on to a restricted top speed of 105 mph. It also has unaided, recalculating ball rack steering and an old-school suspension setup that is electronically monitered.
