The Excise Taxation Department plans to bring in Automated Registration Cards (ARC) by November of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The department called for the bids for the Automated Registration Cards (ARC) in April 2017 which is being precisely evaluated.\u00a0 Seemingly, it has been paying attention to finish the financial and technical evaluation by the \u00a0end of July and honor the contract to the winning bidder as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>2 Million Smart Cards per Annum<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Bidding documents have made clear that the department need applicants to be competent enough to \u00a0publish \u00a0at least 2 million cards per year. Technological necessities include counterfeit confrontation, stability and safe storage of personal data. Each card will be valid for at least five years after being subjected to the member.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif, publicized the automated card service back in March 2015.
