Independently developed, Geely\u2019s new 1.4L JLB-4G14T turbocharged engine has won the 2017 \u201cChina Heart\u201d top ten engine award. It is positioned in the freshly launched Vision S1\u00a0crossover SUV\u00a0and the upcoming 2018 Emgrand GL.<\/p>\n

The \u201cChina Heart\u201d is the \u201cOscars\u201d of engines awards in China. 20 engines were selected for the finals and Geely\u2019s 1.4T competed with the likes of Volkswagen, Toyota, and\u00a0Ford\u00a0to become chosen as one of China\u2019s top ten engines in 2017. The competition juror and vice president of Tongji University School of Mechanical Engineering, Li Jiguang said:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis engine, transmission, and turbocharger works together perfectly offering smooth shifting, fast response, continuous and stable power output, good power performance, and good fuel economy. It includes a lot of\u00a0advanced technologiesand the engine\u00a0compartment\u00a0layout is well thought out, it\u2019s a reflection of rising level of engine research and development from Chinese\u00a0automakers.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The JLB-4G14T turbocharged engine is operational with:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. A highly-efficient turbocharger, maintenance-free timing belt, roller rocker arm, hydraulic tappet,<\/li>\n
  2. Cylinder headwith incorporated\u00a0exhaust\u00a0manifold,<\/li>\n
  3. All plastic\u00a0cylinder head\u00a0cover, plastic intake manifold, dual mass\u00a0Flywheeland other advanced technology.<\/li>\n
  4. It presenst strong power performance, fast response, long life, minimal vibration and noise,\u00a0energy efficiency, and good environmental protection.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The engine has a maximum power output of 98kW at 5200rpm, a maximum torque of 215Nm at 2000 \u2013 4000 rpm and a fuel consumption of merely 6L per 100km. Presently the engine is prepared on the new Geely Vision S1\u00a0Crossover SUV\u00a0and will be equipped on the new 2018 Emgrand GL.<\/p>\n

    Geely Auto, Earlier in May, released its new technology brand iNTEC which comprised of Geely\u2019s G-Power line of high efficiency powertrain technology. Geely aspires to become a global leader in the powertrain field in the next three years. The totally self-developed 1.4T engine is an important member of the G-Power family and is advancing Geely\u2019s position as a powertrain leader.<\/p>\n

    Geely\u2019s next-generation T\/TD series engines for example the 1.0TD and 1.5TD put in the most advanced powertrain technologies in the world including second-generation turbocharger technology, direction injection technology, engine lightening technology, and engine silencing technology. They will present the best in class power performance, fuel economy, and NVH performance giving consumers with more efficient, more consistent, and quieter power. The 1.0TD and 1.5TD will be\u00a0accessible\u00a0on all new Geely models within three years.<\/p>\n
