Overview
Volkswagen is a German automaker brand and now they start producing the vehicle in Pakistan in the year 2022 under Greenfield status ADP 2016. According to the report in the initial stage, the company will only produce two vehicles in Pakistan. Furthermore, after receiving the response from customers they will extend production plants and enhance production activities.
Back in 2018 Volkswagen AG and Premier Motors Ltd sign an agreement to manufacture the commercial vehicle in Hanover, Germany, and also agreed to invest $135 million for setting up a new production car unit in Pakistan.

Volkswagen Vehicle Production in Pakistan
The company will start its production in Pakistan by producing commercial vehicles. The first two commercial vehicles that the company has planned to manufacture are Amarok Truck and Transporter Van. Previously when Hyundai start commercial vehicle production in Pakistan they receive a huge response from the customer and become a top commercial vehicle producing brand in Pakistan.
As per the report, Volkswagen will produce 28,000 vehicles per year. The partner of Volkswagen in this agreement Premier Motors Ltd has already selling Audi cars in Pakistan.

Conclusion
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the production planning of Volkswagen was delayed, while the company had planned to start producing vehicles in Pakistan in 2021. The company will start production in Pakistan with high investment planning. Amorak Truck by Volkswagen will compete in the market of Toyota Hilux Surf and ISUZU-D Max. However, Transporter Van will compete in Hyundai Grand Starex and KIA Grand Carnival.
