Volkswagen set new targets in the EVs segment

The German automaker Volkswagen has set their new target for its self. He has decided to manufacture 22 million electric vehicles in the next decade.

All we know that the Volkswagen has the biggest name in the market to produce the best quality vehicles and know they have decided to take a big step for the company to improve the production of electric vehicles and compete their competitors in the market. Every year Volkswagen produced many electric vehicles but this time they have decided to set the specific target to win the market. The electric vehicle production is increased day by day. All the auto manufacturer increase their electric vehicle production to compete their competitors. The German auto manufacturer recently redefined their plans about the production of the electric vehicle. The production of the electric vehicle increased because the demand for electric vehicle increased in the market. That’s why Volkswagen has planned to increase the production of the electric vehicle to meet the demand of the market. The company has set them to produce 22 million electric vehicles in the next ten years. Currently, Volkswagen increased its EVs production to 15 million.

However, if we look at the past year’s production of company there are only 50,000 EVs units were produce in the year of 2018. There are 12 other brands that Volkswagen has own including Audi and Porsche. Volkswagen observed that the recent addition of carbon emission increases the profit of the company. It shows that the profit of the company increase and company growth by 2.7% as it touches the 235.5 billion Euro mark. The overall profit of Volkswagen rose to 17.1 billion which is an increase of 0.4 %.

The CEO of Volkswagen group Herbert Diess said that the company has a mission to achieve an operating profit by increasing the production of EVs because the demand of the electric vehicle has increased in the market every new day.
