With the production cuts ruling in the local industry and economic breakdown, there seems no change in the Toyota Indus Motor “new Model Launch Plan”. Despite the month-on-month sales that took a nosedive. The Company Toyota is gearing up to launch a facelift for its best seller sedan car Toyota Yaris this year.

The Sources stated that these are planned for 36-48 months. The new variants of most of the brands including Yaris will be launched as per plan. So, Toyota lovers may expect a Yaris facelift by the end of this year or early next year.

Toyota Yaris was Launched:

It is important to mention that Toyota Yaris was launched in March 2020. Now it’s been three years since the car came to Pakistan.

Moreover, the sources also revealed the plan to come up with a locally assembled hybrid car. Probably Corolla Cross, stating the hybrid vehicle launch is also as per the initially stated plan.

Toyota Reports 52% drop in Sales:

The Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC), and Toyota Indus Motors, sales are now also marked as low- with the post slum of 52% (Y-O-Y). Similarly, the Monthly sale follows the footprints. Since June 2020, the corporation has had a significant downturn.

The highlights from the Year-To-Year sales performance, Toyota Indus Motors stated that the sales are down by 52% in 1HFY23.

Coming towards the monthly sales the company sold only 1803 units of vehicles in the last month. Which is the lowest sale trend Since COvid-19 affected the local auto industry.

But another round of import restrictions imposed by the State Bank of Pakistan is to blame for the current sales problem. The Management of Toyota revealed that sales would have been better if LCs is allowed.
