It also creates a panic situation on the road for other drivers. However, the recent updates about the reduction in road accidents are clear results of Traffic Police operations.

Lahore City Traffic Police has recently tweeted statistics of a significant reduction in road accidents after the implementation of the zero-tolerance policy. This has been done in a great way and they get positive results. The credit directly goes to the strict enforcement of traffic rules. Increasing penalties for violations have made a good impact and forced drivers to take care of rules while driving on the road.

As per the comparison of 2022 and 2023 road violations, there is a major change has been seen. One-way violation has been controlled from the ratio of 951 cases in 2022 to 324 cases in 2023. As like, U-turn violation has been reduced from 2371 cases to 1184 cases.

The biggest cause of road accidents is over-speeding, and there is a major change in the cases of over-speeding due to the zero-tolerance policy. Over-speeding cases have dropped from 3294 to 1721 in the recent statistics for the year 2023 compared to 2022.
