Generations of Toyota Yaris:
The first generation of the Toyota Yaris was launched in 1999 and the vehicle was codenamed XP10. The XP10 went out of production in 2005. The Sedan, hatchback, and coupe body configurations were made available to the global market. The very first generation of the Toyota Yaris was loaded with features including Power steering, Power mirrors, Power windows, and airbags.
2nd generation of Yaris was well launched in 2005 and the vehicle was named XP90. The production of this generation of Yaris halted in the year 2012, whereas, the coupe body styles were not launched in this generation.
The four doors sedan versions were often called Belta in many other regions. While the hatchback version was also well known as Vitz.
3rd generation of the Yaris was manufactured from 2013 to 2010. In some regions, the third generation of this vehicle was well launched in the year 2011. At that time, the only hatchback model was introduced. The sedan variant was introduced later in the year 2013.
Similarly, the fourth generation of the Yaris was launched in 2020 and it is the current generation of Yaris. This generation has not been launched in Pakistan yet. Country Pakistan has received the third generation of Toyota Yaris which was well launched back in 2013 in many regions across the World.
This generation includes variants G, X, and Z.
Toyota Yaris in Pakistan 2023:
Before the trend of locally manufactured Yaris sedans in Pakistan, The Toyota Yaris was much popular as the Vitz hatchback. This hatchback has been around in the country for more than two decades s an imported Toyota vehicle.

Comparing it to the larger 1.5-liter engine, the smaller 1.3-liter engine takes about 13 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h.

The 4 variants of the Toyota Yaris come in 1.3L engines while the top two variants have 1.5L engines, all of the engines are inline four-cylinder. All variants of the Yaris share a valve train of 16-valve DOHC with dual VVT-I technology. On the other side, the manual variants come in 5-speed manual transmission. While the automatic variants have a 7-speed CVT and sport sequential shiftmatic system.
