Earlier this month, Toyota exhibited the 2017 Toyota Vios facelift at the Thai Motor Expo. Toyota Vios is offered in Thailand in J, E, G and S grades. While the car displayed here is the range-topping S grade.Coming to the exterior, the Vios S carries a :
- Blackened projector headlights with a LED light guide, dark grey metallic frontgrille,
- Chrome door handlesand boot lid appliqué and exclusive
- 16-inch alloy wheels.
For the interior,
- Toyota has employed a black color scheme with complementary red highlights on the dashboard, door panelsand seats.
- Other elements worth mentioning are the Sport analog meter, 7-inchmultimedia infotainment system, leather/synthetic leather seat upholstery and metallic door handles.
Coming to the dimentions, The 2017 Toyota Vios is 4,420 mm long, 1,700 mm wide and 1,475 mm tall, having a 2,550 mm wheelbase and a 145 mm ground clearance. Under the hood, it makes use of the 2NR-FBE 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i engine across the range. This four-cylinder petrol engine has 108 PS at 6,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. An incessantly variable transmission sends power to the wheels.
Currently ,Indus Motors Company (IMC) Pakistan is in course of discontinuing the 1.3 liter Corolla XLi/ GLi variants most probably by July 2018, however according to reports, local vendors have by now started the development of Toyota Vios parts.
The Vios in Pakistan will take on the same 1.3 liter 2NZ-FE engine that comes equipped with the current Corolla XLi and GLI, whereas the 1.5 liter 2NR-FBE engine can also be presented to undertake the rival Honda City (1.3 & 1.5).
