They are battening down their hatches to launch their SUV GS3 in the competition of Hyundai, MG, KIA, DFSK, and Haval.
History of GAC:
Guangzhou Automobile Group co., Ltd is shortly known as GAC group was founded 66 Years ago in 1955 and their headquarter is in Guangzhou, Guangdong China. They are specialized in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles, Passenger cars, buses, and automotive components. They are also Providing services of vehicle leasing, After-sales services, and vehicle financing.
Launch of GS3:
Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. Decide to launch their Subcompact cross-over SUV GS3 initially. They have initially decided to import Complete Buildup Units (CBU) in Pakistan and later on they have a plan to start selling their locally assembled SUV in Pakistan.
GAC is coming with a 1496cc DC-VVT engine with a torque of 141Nm and will give a total power of 106hp and it will have a 6-speed automatic transmission. GAC is also offering its GS3 in the international market with a choice of a 1.3-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine and 1.4-liter naturally aspired 4-cylinder petrol engine and both of them transfer their power to only front wheels with the help of 5-speed manual transmission and 6-speed automatic transmission.

Dimensions:
The new GS3 has a total length of 4350mm, a width of 1825mm, and a height of 1680mm. it has a wheelbase of 2560mm and a trunk capacity of 370L and with folding rear seats, it can be expanded up to 780L. it has a fuel tank capacity of 50 liters and a Curb weight of 1315-1380 Kg.
Engine:
GAC is coming with a 1496cc DC-VVT engine with a torque of 141Nm and will give a total power of 106hp and it will have a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel consumption:
With this weight and power, it gives very fine fuel consumption of 7liters per 100 km which gives the mileage of approximately 14.28 kilometers per liter.
Suspension/Brakes:
It has McPherson Independent suspension on the front while in the rear it has twist beam suspension. It has ventilated disc brakes installed in both front and rear wheels.
Exterior:
It has 16” alloy wheels with a tire size of 215/65 in its GS variant whereas in GB and GE variant it comes with 17” alloy wheels with the same tire size. All of its three variants are loaded with halogen headlamps with light adjustment and an alarm for headlights on with the “Follow Me Home” function. It’s GB and GE version also comes with fog lamps. All of its variants come with power side mirrors and the GE version contains Power side mirrors with the defogging and defrosting feature.
Interior:
It comes with a dark interior and Air conditioner with Air filters. The GS3 has electrical power steering Leatherette-trimmed steering wheel. It’s GB and GE come with a multifunction steering wheel. Its GS and GB version comes with fabric seats while the GE version comes with leather seats. The driver seat is 6-way adjustable and the passenger seat is 4-way adjustable.

It comes with rear parking sensors in all variants and a wide-angle rear-view camera system in GB and GE variants. It does not offer ECO drive mode.
