The new facelifted Prado is also predictable to receive new safety features such as collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, and a blind spot monitor.
The system uses a camera build up behind the rear-view mirror and radar in the grille, “these devices enable the Prado to operate its brakes autonomously to reduce the vehicle’s speed and even bring the car to a halt. A smart active cruise control system can also slow the car to a standstill if necessary”.
We also get a range of new engine preferences that will include either a turbocharged inline-4 or a V6 engine; the inline-4 will be accessible with a diesel variant while the V6 will be petrol only.
According to Toyota, further details, including other new premium features and pricing, will be announced closer to the vehicle’s arrival in local dealerships. Deliveries of the new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2018 are likely to inaugurate in late November of this year.
