It’s exceptional for a convertible to be appealing than its coupe counterpart. The Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 Cabriolet, that makes its first appearance at Monterey Car Week, is a magnificent exclusion. The Maybach Vision 6 coupe that premiered last year was gorgeous, but this is just superb.

Top open, the Vision 6 Cabriolet brings to mind the kind of small speedboat you’d see on the French Riviera, with its long sweeping tail. Its rich blue exterior paint, suitably described Nautical Blue Metallic, and white leather interior almost certainly helps bring nautical images to mind.

This state of the art measures at over 20 feet long and features plenty of art deco design accompaniments. The wheels measure 24 inches in diameter and has center-locking hubs tinted in rose gold. Mercedes says the big radiator grille upfront was inspired by a pinstripe suit, but there’s in fact no functional advantage to its addition.

That’s for the reason, that the Vision 6 Cabriolet is all electric. It features batteries build up at the floor which power a 750-hp electric motor and provide for 200 miles of driving range. Beneath the 6 Cabriolet’s long hood, it appears to be like there’s fitted luggage and a picnic set, in spite of an internal-combustion engine.

Within there’s all the Napa leather and rose gold trim you could expect to be, and fascinatingly, a wood floor. Once more, Mercedes is highlighting the Vision 6’s Cabriolet’s nautical influence.

Immediately, it’s vague if Mercedes will put a modified Maybach model like this into production, as its ultra-luxury arm presently just modifies standard Benz models. Anyhow, it points to magnificently comfortable things to come.
