Acura has also reduced the trim levels for this year with just two RLX variants: regular and RLX Sport Hybrid. Even though Acura describes this revamp, it’s in fact more of a refresh. The framework and dimensions are the same, and both power train alternative are customized but keep the same engines and, in the latter’s case, electric motors. The gas option does, though, get a new transmission, and the Sport Hybrid receives revised tuning based on the NSX supercar. Here is all you want to know about the New Acura-2018 RLX.

Exterior Facade

The RLX takes off its old nose for a new rhinoplasty ,one that is mysteriously identical to that found on the TLX. It’s an enhanced look to be sure; the hawkish expression has been substituted by a flatter, more contemporary grille that is still flanked by “Jewel Eye” LED headlights. There is also a novel hood that is extra sculpted, new wheel designs and numerous modification to the rear, counting a rear diffuser and taillights with a new LED design, which will make the RLX stand out at night. In totaling, two new exterior colors will be accessible: Brilliant Red Metallic and Majestic Black Pearl.
Power train

The powertrains in both the RLX and RLX Sport Hybrid have the identical power output as last year’s models, except each features some new augmentations for the 2018 model year. The front-wheel-drive RLX with its 310-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 gets a new 10-speed automatic transmission that Acura says enhanced acceleration. The RLX Sport Hybrid is in fact the more robust performer of the two; it utilizes the similar gas engine but adds three electric motors for a total output of 377 hp. Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system is standard on the hybrid.
