Step 3: Do a Spot Test On the Car Seat

Before moving on to the wiping process you need to do a spot test. This step is important, especially if you are going to use a cleaner on seats for the first time. This can serve as a precaution to avoid ruining the leather covering on your car seats.

To test this you have to apply a little amount of cleaner on an inconspicuous area of a car seat. If you don’t observe any issues in the area, it means the cleaner is safe to use.

Step 4: Clean off Dirt that has not been Removed by Vacuum Cleaner

With time, a layer of dirt can accumulate on the seats. Especially when you don’t clean your car seats often, surface dirt can support car seats. Some of them might not be sucked off by a vacuum cleaner.

Step 5: Deep clean the car seat with a soft-bristled Brush

Don’t scrub but gently putting too much effort and pressure on car seats can damage them. Also, be careful that you don’t need to apply too much cleaner, as using too much cleaner can saturate the seats.

You would directly spray a small of cleaner on the car seats and gently scrub the seats with a soft-bristled brush. This will help agitate the dirt or even grease stains that are accumulated on the car seat and bring the out from the surface.

Step 6: Wipe the Car Seats

Wiping away the cleaner and dirt from the car seats with a microfiber towel after you scrub them. Always make sure to clean the entire residue, as the residue can make the car seats sticky or smell. Wipe them until they are completely dry.

Step 7: Condition the Car Seats

The condition of the car seats is the same process of applying cleaner to the car seats; you just have to do the spot test before applying the conditioner. It is always safe to check if the conditioner is safe to use on your car seats. After this last step, your car seats will be fresh as new.
