Usman Khattak ,The acting IGP Punjab, have created a complete strategy to deal with growing traffic troubles in Lahore and other cities of Punjab.
A four-member delegation from Turkish Transport visited the central police office . IGP said that “We have resoluted to generate new Shaheen Force to control the traffic on roads in emergency situations.Turkish experts would be the element of this new force through initial stages in order to pass on knowledge and training to 50 wardens”, He added , “ The first 50 wardens would reveal their skills after the implementation of training from Turkish counterparts, afterward it will become a dedicated force after the final endorsement from Punjab government.”

The Turkish team attending the meeting are competent and high stratum officials, Traffic SP Muslum Apayidin, City Municipal Planner Bekir Chelen, Project Director Roads Abdul Rehman Evnez and Enigeer Traffic Signals Naeem Karatepe. The team will assist with Punjab government to bring in everlasting way out to traffic problems in the province.
Additional IGP (Special Branch) Faisal Shahkar, CTO Rai Ijaz and DIG (Traffic) Farooq Mazhar represented Punjab in the meeting.
Turkish officials make sure that they will arrange working model with the help of Lahore police in order to conquer a variety of problems including Lane violation, encroachment, beggars and lack of pedestrian facilities on the roads.
