The automotive industry is the fastest growing industry of the country and one of the largest and moneymaking industry for the economy. The growth of the automotive industry is profitable for the economy and the need of the public. But in this year car sales decline by 20% from the last year and its a big loss for the automotive industry and for the economy too.
According to the report of Pakistan Automotive Manufacturer’s Association, 17000 passenger cars were sold in the month of April 2019 and the total sales of car for the first ten months of an ongoing fiscal year is 177, 400. As compared to the month-on-month cars sales decline by 14.1 % from March 2019 and as compared to the year-on-year cars sales decline by 20% to April 2018.
The highest number of sales cars was seen by the cars engine power 1300cc and above, and these category cars sold units are 8,019.
Toyota Corolla
Toyota Corolla sold the highest units in the month of April the sales were 5,256 units as compared to 4,741 units were sold in March. Toyota Corolla included in the highest number of units sales and take a 1st position in the sales of the car by March 2019 to April 2019.
Honda
The highest model sold by Honda were Honda City and Honda Civic and Honda came in 2nd position and sold 2310 units.
Suzuki
The Suzuki Swift came in the last and sold just 453 units in the month of April 2019 as compared to the 386 in the month of March 2019.
According to the details, the units having an engine displacement of 1000cc were sold 4,832 units during in this time periods, while over the 800-1000cc units sold were 4,335.
