As we talk about the self-balancing personal transportation devices, it looks like the Solowheel, or the Honda U3-X, Uno and Segway could all be in for a little competition. Portland, as well as Oregon-based RYNO Motors is currently in the process in terms of launching its own entry in the weird-little-electric-vehicles race, that is appropriately calls the RYNO.

RYNO Motorcycle – The One-Wheeler That Offers Better City Driving

Unlike some of its potential competitors that is to be particularly the Uno, the RYNO is not intended to on the whole take the place of a motorcycle. All set with a top speed of 25 mph (40 km/h) and a range of up to 30 miles (48 km), it is all intended more for short-distance, low-speed jaunts that is possibly even being ridden amongst pedestrians. Its designers hence do not even consider it to be in the same market category as being the scooters, as they claim that its smaller size, as well as better maneuverability in tight quarters, and projected lower price make it a sufficiently different type of vehicle.

The RYNO has been all known as the lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack, that is said to recharge in just an hour and a half. The vehicle weighs for around 125 pounds (57 kg) that is to be although the average rider likely could not carry it very far. It has the turning radius that hence ranged from zero to three feet (0.9 meters), and it can manage inclines up to 30 percent. As the over-zealous riders try to push the bike too far, adding on with the fact of attempting to exceed its speed or tilt limits as its Auto Balance System will first of all provide warnings to the user, and then temporarily take control of the machine.

RYNO Motors is mentioned out to be currently in the process of hand-building 50 limited edition pre-production bikes that will sell for the sake of the US$25,000. All to be set as when the production version is ready to ship.

Instead of adding something to the design, Hoffman hence on the whole removed one wheel from the conventional design. Hoffman’s one-wheeled RYNO motorcycle may be the next great thing bringing about in the pages of the history of motorcycles. The RYNO is currently stated to be the prototype which took seven years to complete and was inspired by a video game that Hoffman’s daughter was once playing. The one-wheeled, zero emissions motorcycle hence uses technology similar to, but carried out to be much more advanced than, the Segway. The concept of unicycle itself is not new, but the gyro technology has on the whole help RYNO to launch this one of a kind uni-motorcycle.

The single-wheeled motorcycle will go into production soon with the starting of the price tag of $2,995. The production facility will be based in the place of Portland, Oregon, and Hoffman’s team is aiming to set up on the whole with the dealerships across the US, so potential customers can try the one-wheeled electric bike themselves before buying one model.
