The Punjab government has imposed a new driving license fee. As the deadline time has passed. The caretaker government has offered multiple favors for citizens to get a driving license at old fees. But now everyone will pay the revised fees which are increased than previous. It’s been months Punjab Traffic Police started cracking down against driving-less drivers. The crackdown impact positively and thousands of new citizens applied for licenses to drive legally on the road.
Earlier, the Lahore High Court announced No FID against without-helmet drivers. They suggest a high fines solution compared to the FIR. Action against underage drivers is necessary because of the increasing number of road accidents and loss of lives.
New Driving License Fees Imposed
Earlier the start of this year the Punjab Traffic Police announced the new annual rates for driving licenses. Although they forwarded the deadline date to the next date and now the time is over for the old fees. As per the current notification new driving license fees have been imposed, and now learner driving license fees are Rs. 500. The annual regular driving license fee would be Rs. 980.
Authorities will follow strict action against the citizens who fail to comply with the process of getting a driving license. The citizens will have to face consequences because there will be no relaxation for rules violators.
Online Learner Driving License
The caretaker government Mohsin Naqvi has launched an online system to get learner driving licenses. The facility has been announced to make the process smooth. Due to the strictness of Traffic Police everyone without a license walked to the driving license camps. The groundbreaking move makes the process convenient for citizens. Citizens can apply for online learner driving licenses through the Punjab Police app or visit any 737 police stations and Khidmat Marakiz around the province.
Oline Driving License Renew
To control the rush at driving license camps, the Punjab government announced an online system to renew driving licenses. Authorities announced that international driving licenses will be valid for three years. Meanwhile, the candidates can apply for renewal of their driving license for one, three, five, and ten years.
It’s pertinent to mention here, that the authorities make a system online for the convenience of citizens. They announced that local and international e-licenses can be download online now. There is no need for the physical driving test of candidates.
