Lahore car dealers demand for a long time from the Punjab government to replace Lahore biometric system with Islamabad biometric system. A delegation under the consultancy of Shahzada Saleem, President Lahore Car Dealers Federation met with Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and presented a request to replace Lahore biometric system with Islamabad biometric system.
The Lahore biometric system is more difficult than Islamabad. Lahore dealers requesting the government for a long to change it and make the easy system as in Islamabad. While talking to the private media Saleem said we had requested the Minister and they accepted our request to replace Lahore biometric system. He added that Minister ordered the relevant department to replace the whole system within seven working days.
Islamabad and Punjab Biometric System Difference
Compared to the Punjab Islamabad dealer working in great terms as they don’t need two or three transfer of vehicles. Punjab’s biometric system has destroyed 35% of car dealers’ business, the federation president said. Islamabad dealers can get open biometrics under it. Meanwhile in Punjab car dealer has to transfer the vehicle to their name after buying and then transfer it to the new buyer’s name. meanwhile, the car standing in the showroom for sale purposes. The two-transfer system is critical and harm their business routine.
However, in Islamabad car dealers can get an Open Letter to stand the car at the showroom and can transfer to the name of the buyer after finalizing the deal. The open latter system is encouraging showroom business and easy for dealers to handle the matter.
The difference between Islamabad and Punjab biometric systems is:
- Islamabad dealers sell cars with Open Later and transfer to the buyer’s name directly.
- Meanwhile, the current Punjab system is dealers must transfer the vehicle to their name and then to the new buyer’s name after finalizing the deal.
Conclusion
The deal finalization with the Punjab government is only confirmed by the dealers’ federation. Meanwhile, there is no official statement issued by the government of Punjab regarding the system change. Punjab dealers claim that the current system is difficult. Meanwhile, most experts believe that Punjab’s biometric system has more transparency than Islamabad’s biometric system.
