Tax default vehicles and vehicles with no number plates should be heeded because Punjab Excise & Taxation start a crackdown against them. The action needed to take for the betterment of the token tax collection mechanism. The purpose of the crackdown is to urge non-register vehicles owner to register their cars for the smooth operation of taxes.
It seems the excise department is active to stabilize the vehicle system. Earlier Islamabad Excise & Taxation department granted strict action against fancy number plates and tinted windows.
Pakistan’s vehicle registration system is weak because various car owners took a long time to register their cars. until the vehicle is listed on the registration it’s illegal to drive on roads and now it will be taken strictly by authorities.

Punjab Excise & Taxation department tweeted about the crackdown on tax default and non-register cars. As per the notification tax default and non-register cars in all districts of Punjab will be seized. They organized a special police quad to recognize unregistered cars running on the roads.
There is no tolerance for anyone. If the vehicle owner rejects orders, the Excise Department has the right to seize the vehicle, charge a heavy fine, issue an arrest warrant to the car owner, cancel vehicle registration, and can issue a challan.
Making vehicle owner tax paid is only possible with strict orders. There are a huge number of cars in Punjab running without registration and not paying token tax. Authorities will no longer assist these defaulters.

How to Pay Vehicle Token Tax In Punjab
Paying token taxes in Punjab become very easy. The excise department has made an online system for Punjab citizens to pay all kinds of taxes. Here is a process for paying online:
- Download the e-Pay Punjab app for Android users from Google Play Store and Apple users from Apple Play Store.
- Create an account and sign up to start.
- Select token tax from Excise and Taxation Department Tab.
- Enter your vehicle registration number (E.g LEB 234, LEA-20-234)
- Certify the details and generate challan.
Write the PSID number and pay your vehicle token tax by Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, ATM service, or over-the-counter banking transaction. After paying the tax don’t forget to receive a token tax sticker and paste it on your car’s windscreen. It is proof you are not a token tax defaulter.

It’s necessary to set up a proper vehicle registration system. The Excise Department ordered the police to not offer any tolerance to any violator of rules. It is pertinent to comply citizens under the law and rules for a smooth traffic system.
