Malaysian automaker Proton is all set to launch its vehicle in Pakistan with the partnership of the Al-Haj group. Recently Proton signed an agreement with the Al-Haj group to manufacture plants in Pakistan. As the Al-Haj Group win a greenfield status under the Auto Development Policy (ADP) 2016-21.
The new Auto Development Policy is made to welcome foreign investors to invest in the Pakistan auto sector and launched their vehicles in the Pakistan auto market. several other foreign investors also enter in the Pakistan auto sector to sell their vehicle. This is a great effort to boost the value of the Pakistan auto sector and increase revenue. Al-Haj is working as a distributor of Proton cars in Pakistan. Malaysian auto manufacture has the plan to produce CKD Units in Pakistan.
Recently Malaysia’s auto manufacturer Proton gift its X70 SUV to the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. This is a sign of friendship and shows that the company is happy to invest in Pakistan. The entry of Proton Cars increases the demand of the market.
