Sajjad Khan, a native of Karachi, has resigned as Mercedes-Chief Benz’s Technology Officer (CTO). Recently, Porsche Appointed Sajad Khan as a Board Member for Car IT, making Sajjad Khan would become the eighth member of Porsche’s Executive Board. Khan has experience in the automobile sector and has served as the ‘Tech Chief’ of Mercedes.
German Sports Car Maker Porsche Statement:
The German sports car maker said Sajjad Khan will look after its automotive technology division, but no joining date has set yet. However, according to Porsche’s supervisory board, he may join as a board member as soon as he becomes available to do so.
Dr. Wolfgang Porsche, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Porsche AG, said, I’m happy, that Porsche appointed Sajad Khan as a board member. We await to welcome Sajjad Khan, a proven digital expert, thereby strengthening our IT team in a key position. He added, we strongly believe that the proposed expansion of our executive board will further promote the successful growth of our company.
Former Mercedes Tech Chief Sajad Khan:
Khan, a talented 48-year-old who worked for Mercedes for more than six years till 2021, is renowned throughout the world for his brilliance in the automotive sector. Khan worked as the Chief Technology Officer for the Mercedes-Benz automobile division during his last years at Mercedes, where he oversaw initiatives in connectivity, autonomy, shared, and services.
