The great news for the KPT women that the pink bus service has started in Mardan for women. Since 2015 KPK government have planned to facilitate KPK women with separate transport and this very helps fully for the women. But because of some technical issues, the idea couldn’t get underway. But finally pink bus service has launched on 4th April 2019 many of the provincial assembly members participate on this ceremony and the pink bus service was held at Pakhtunkhwa House where the provincial minister Sajida Hanif inaugurate this service for women. Its a proud moment for Mardan it’s the first city that has a separate transport for women and women can separately use transport in the city. The basic purpose to start this separate bus service for women is to facilitate them and remove the barrier of their success and motivate them to fulfill their needs by self. Japanese government donates for pink bus service in 2018 but because of some technical issues government of KPK cant start this project in 2018 but now this service completely started and provide the service in the city and also provide full safety for women to travel easily.
This new service will encourage women to take the step and participate as a part of the country. KPK government has the plan to expand this service for women and their next plan to start this service in Abbottabad. Each bus has 40 seated and facility for standing travelers have also available.
