Overview
The new Peugeot 3008 and Peugeot 5008 will go on sale in H2 2023. According to the brand, the E-3008 and E-5008 would be present as battery-electric cars (BEVs).
According to sources, the E-3008 will be the first to be shown, follow by the E-5008. The STLA Medium platform will be use for the first time by the E-3008.
STLA Medium
STLA Medium is one of four plan “BEV-by-design” Stellantis Group EV platforms. These platforms, however, may also support internal combustion engines.
Peugeot 3008 and Peugeot 5008 Range
The E-3008 is suppose to have a range of up to 700 kilometers on all-electric power, with battery packs ranging from 87 kWh to 104 kWh. Three electric power trains will be offer, including a dual-motor variant. The details about E-5008 are limited.
Peugeot Further Plan for Hybrid Technology
Peugeot announced the introduction of new hybrid technology with a mild-hybrid 48V unit that would be available in the 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 5008, and 408.
The company also stated that by 2023, all of its vehicles would have an electric alternative as part of its ambition to sell entirely BEVs by 2030. The BEV lineup now consists of the E-208, E-2008, and E-308, with the E-408 set to appear later this year.
The automobile industry is developing according to technology. Electric technology is very useful for the environment and fuel savings.
