Overview
The Finance Division has announced a decision for the petrol rate for the next 15 days. As per the agreed statement of the fortnight petrol prices decision this is for 15 January 2024. The government has not decreased or increased the petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan, and the rates remain unchanged for the next 15 days.
In the previous decision regarding petroleum product prices, the government announced a major decrease in the rate of petrol. Petroleum product prices have been dropped in the international market. Meanwhile, the rupee’s strength also shows a good response against the dollar which means there are no causes of petroleum products high rates.
Current Petrol Rate In Pakistan
Petrol and diesel remained the same but Kerosene Oil and Light-Speed Diesel prices saw a change. Kerosene oil price reduced by Rs. 2.19 and available for Rs. 188,83 instead of Rs. 191.02. Meanwhile, Light-speed diesel price increased by Rs. 1.11 which means the new set price is Rs. 165.75 against the old rate of Rs. 164.64. Similarly, petrol is available for Rs. 267.34 and diesel price is Rs. 276.21.
Petrol is a crucial need of Pakistan because of the lack of electric vehicle availability. However, petrol is a need of different sectors. Petrol rates up and down make a major impact on citizens.

The changes in petrol rates directly affect the daily commuters and their traveling expenses. petroleum product stability is important to ensure a smooth routine and control of inflation. Economic and political stability is important to maintain the strength of the rupee value. When the rupee value becomes strong these imported products will no more expensive for Pakistan and not make worries for citizens.
