Overview

After back-to-back petrol price shocks, the incumbent government might provide relief this time to the people. Rumors spread that government is likely to reduce fuel prices from April 1, 2023. And this time prices will be cut by Rs. 15 to 20 per liter.

We should have to wait until the federal government confirms the news by itself. Meanwhile, this is quite unbelievable because we have received a surprising price hike in petroleum prices in the last few months. multiple relief schemes discussed by the government and keep in the papers only. Only the hikes news is confirmed through a new channel or social media notification.

What Happens Last Time?

Earlier, the government announced a petrol subsidy for Rs. 50 per liter for Motorbike, Rickshaw, and cars up to 800cc. But is not still confirmed yet how the subsidy will be provided to people highly affected by inflation.

Inflation hardness affects the overall economy but lower middle-class survivors become very difficult with these high petrol prices. The back-to-back notice for relief in petrol prices for motorbike and rickshaw owners is the only hope for them to turn over inflation.

Current Petrol Price

The government has decided to revise petrol prices after every 15 days. Previously, the government has increased the prices from March 16, 2023, by Rs. 5 per liter. here are the current prices of fuel.

Petrol price is Rs. 272 per liter

High-Speed Diesel Rs. 292 per liter

Light-Diesel Oil price is Rs. 184.68

Kerosene price is Rs. 190.29

Conclusion

Multiple times the news has come to us that the government announced to provide relief for the poor middle class in fuel prices but the decision left for the shine of papers only. However, the authorities still do not confirm a decrease in petrol prices. The final decision will come on the night in the night of March 31, 2023. Petrol prices are not like to reduce as they increase.
