The fuel prices decrease in the international market due to the pandemic situation. Pakistan’s government gives a positive sign to cut down fuel prices.
It is expected that the new prices will be announced soon for the month of May 2020. It is also expected that the government will give relief on diesel prices by PKR 22 per liter. The COVID-19 Lock-down is imposed almost all over the world for safety precautions. The demand for fuel is decreased and this is the reason fuel prices slashed in the international market.
Pakistan including in the countries that highly depend on the import of fuel and this is a good time for the government to store fuel for the future. Previously the government reduces the petrol prices by PKR 15 per liter. Below are the current petrol prices:
Petrol price PKR 96.85 per liter
High-speed diesel price PKR 107.25 per liter
Light-speed diesel price PKR 62.51 per liter
Kerosene oil price PKR 77.45 per liter
The cut-down prices of petrol will be affected by 1st May 2020. The government will also reduce the prices of petroleum products.
