The Punjab Mass transit Authority (PMTA) has decided to revised the Lahore Orange Train Fares. The Punjab Cabinet has approved the Orange Line Metro Train stop-to-stop fare schedule, which consists of five categories. The minister informed the media that new rates would take effect following an official government notification.
Revised Orange Line Train Fares:

According to the report details, the minimum fare for Orange Line Metro Train will be Rs. 20 and the maximum will be Rs 40. The revised fares of the Orange Line Metro Train in Lahore would be charged on the basis of distance and per kilometer under five different slabs. It is to be noted that this is the first time that the fares have increased since the OLMT operation started two years ago.
Orange Line Train Fares:
Muneeb Sultan Cheema, the provincial transport minister, stated that the Orange Line Train Fares fare for the journey from station number one to four will be Rs.20. And from station number four to eight the fare will be Rs.25. The fare from station number 8 to 12 will be Rs.30. While from station number, twelve to sixteen the fare will be Rs.35. Meanwhile, the fare will be Rs40 from station 16 onward. In this regard, an automated card system has been linked to fare application and fare collection.

Fare Reduction Cards to Working Women and Students:

Additionally, Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMTA) plans to issue fare reduction cards for women and students would receive. The department has already issued free-ride cards for the convenience of senior citizens and people with disabilities. According to a department representative, we will apply distance-based fares in the first phase. As soon as our preparations were finished a few days ago, we planned to start using the new system on November 18, but departmental issues prevented us from doing so.
According to the officials, new fares would implement in the next two to three days. In the second phase, the department will develop weekly and monthly discounted and free travel cards. He added that the cars will be issued to working women and students who will get a 30 percent discount on fares.
