Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has suggested to the government to increase the prices of petroleum products for January 2020.
According to the details, in the proposal to increase the prices of petroleum products OGRA suggested to the government to increase the price of petrol by PKR 2.61 per liter. Increase the price of high-speed diesel by PKR 2.25 per liter and increase the price of kerosene oil and light-speed diesel by PKR 3.10 per liter and 2.08 per liter respectively. Authorities just wait for the government approval then the new prices of petroleum products are as follow:
Petrol: PKR 116.60 per liter
Light Speed Diesel: PKR 84.51 per liter
High-Speed Diesel: PKR 127.26 per liter
Kerosene oil: PKR 99.45 per liter
In the last month, OGRA suggested to the government to reduce the prices of petroleum products. Now they have suggested increasing the prices again its second time that OGRA decreases the prices and hike again with additional rates. The high rates of petroleum products create a problem for daily workers. On the other side the price of petrol increase in the international market.
