Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) sent a proposal to the government to reduce petrol prices for June 2020. Authorities have suggested to the government to reduce petrol prices by up to Rs 11 per liter.
Petrol prices dip at the international level due to the lockdown. Due to the pandemic situation, the sale of petrol badly decreases. Previously petrol prices down in April. A decrease in petrol prices will also affect petroleum products.
OGRA also suggested to the government for a slight increase in high-speed diesel oil by 0.5 from PKR 80.10 to 80.15per liter.
According to the details authorities suggested to decrease petrol prices from PKR 81.58 to 74.52. petrol use for cars and motorbikes and high-speed diesel mostly use for transport vehicles.
OGRA suggested reducing Kerosene oil price by PKR 11.8 which is PKR 47.44 to decrease PKR 35.56 per liter. In the proposal, they request to reduce light speed diesel price by PKR 9.37 which is PKR 47.51 to decrease PKR 38.14 per liter.
Moreover, OGRA suggested to the government but currently, there is no official statement issued by the government.
