On 3 October 2018, as heading into the meeting of the National Assembly has passed the amended finance bill just as under which non-filers will be all allowed as to purchase vehicles below 200 cc engine capacity. Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) as on October 1, 2018, sent the letter to the name of Finance Minister, Asad Umar, and bring about the argument that the government would lose PKR 50 billion as in revenue in case of sales drop due to the sake of the ban on non-filers.
Plus the experts of the industry have also once on the whole impact the car industry and so as even on the sales will drop to 168,000 units from the rate of the 240,000 units by the end of this year.

The Finance Minister, Asad Umar did announce the ban while at the course of addressing the National Assembly. He mentioned that the non-filers still have time and hence they can pay their returns and so as of becoming eligible to purchase property and vehicles again.
