Once again Nissan, one of Japan’s biggest auto manufacturers, is in a difficult situation as the company is recalling almost 320,000 vehicles in Japan. The company is calling to fix coating problem of the electronic power unit that may catch fire if not correctly coated. As per Japan’s Transport Ministry, up till now eight car owners have filed a report of short circuiting and fire from the faulty coating of the electronic power unit. Nissan Motors has recalled six various models which comprise Serena minivans and vans manufactured for Suzuki and Mitsubishi.
It is significant to state here that the recall will not have an effect on Nissan cars outside Japan. As told above this is not the first time Nissan is encountering these problems, in the same year a few months back, the company stopped its production in Japan.
Nissan stopped its production on all of the six of its production plants for two weeks to investigate the matter of misconduct in the final inspection process of its cars. The company made this immense decision following the transport ministry of Japan exposed that it had discovered that uncertified technicians at Nissan’s production plant used the official stamp of certified technicians to terminate the final inspection of the vehicles.
The preceding few months have turned out to be a devastating ones for Nissan as scandals keep coming out of thin air. Not only Nissan but one more Japanese automaker, Honda also recalled 900,000 vehicles after it received reports of injuries owing to the problem in the seat of its cars. The reports affirmed that subsequent to applying the brake, the seats in the second row tipped forward if not latched correctly, causing main injuries.
Not only the Japanese automakers but also the German automaker BMW was in threat a few months back. It also recalled all its 2014-18 i3 electric vehicles. The current year certainly came out to be a disastrous one for automakers around the globe. Hoping that the upcoming year will be beneficial for all automakers.
