After turning its most popular nameplate (the Corolla) into a full-on crossover, Toyota has now done one of its most luxurious offerings in the Crown. Initially, the Crown was available in the US but has discontinued in 1972. Now Toyota Motor Corporation has officially unveiled four new models of its crown range including the 16th generation new Hybrid Toyota Crown. However, for the first time, the new models will be available in around 40 countries or regions around the world. All these crown models are based on Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA). Toyota hasn’t provided any information about the other three of these variants. Also, it’s unclear that every market will get all four body styles. For now, we discuss the model that Toyota has recently introduced.
What is New For 2023:

The new Crown lineup models will use new technology Laser Screw Welding (LSW) and new structural adhesives to improve more luxurious driving dynamics. The new 2023 Toyota Crown will be the first model in the USA to offer the Hybrid Max performance-hybrid system which drives the wheels directly with an electric motor. This makes it slightly smaller than the popular full-size sedan Toyota Avalon, which has discontinued in North America last year. The newly upgrade Crown can be called to be medium-sized.

The new Toyota Crown crossover comes with a very futuristic design. It has an aggressive look front clip that appeared by a light bar that spans the width of the front fascia and lines the hood. It comes with pair of 2.5L naturally aspirated Hybrid MAX powertrains with a four-cylinder and two electric motors. An electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT), that deliver up to 240 hp horsepower with instant torque. It also has a newly developed nickel-metal hydride battery.
Driving Modes:

The new crossover Hybrid Toyota Crown is an on-demand system with an electric motor on the rear axle. Depending on the variant, Toyota Crown has different driving modes such as Eco, Normal, and Sport. Although the top variant gets Custom as well as Sport+ driving modes.

The Crown will one of the Toyota and Lexus vehicles that gets the new Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) 3.0 system. This system includes a number of safety features such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with a pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcycle detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, lane centering assistance, and automatic high beams, etc.

Toyota has not yet revealed further detail about the launch date and pricing of the all-new Hybrid Toyota Crown. But it is expected that the cost of a Hybrid Toyota Crown will start at $40,000 in North America. The company announced that it will start the sale of the vehicle at the end of this year.
