The government of Pakistan has opened the motorway from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem. The total length of this motorway is 230 kilometers and the total cost of this motorway project is 148 million. This 6-lane highway will save your 2 hours from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem. This project was started in 2015 and was officially launched by the then prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in 2018.
The motorway has 8 interchanges, 35 bridges, and 16 underpasses. According to the local media news the motorway (M5) is not a completed project this is only 70 percent completed the total work for this motorway has Sukkur-Multan of final work the estimate to complete the remaining work for the motorway (M5) will be completed in August 2019.
