On Friday, March 2023, the Sindh Government decided to increase the routes of electric bus service for “Karachi Peoples”. The conference on transportation projects was presided over by Pakistan’s Provincial minister Sharjeel Memon. The Provincial minister approved extending the people’s electric service to additional routes in Karachi.
Our Provincial Minister Memon also reveals that the Sindh ministry of transport will purchase more electric buses. Furthermore, he stated that initiatives such as the People bus service, Orange line, BRT Redline, and Yellow line have been reviewed.
According to the minister, Bilalwal Bhutto directed him to prioritize the completion of all the development projects. Moreover, he stated that the (PPP) Pakistan People’s Party has won a strong mandate from the people of Karachi in local body elections. While the party’s main objective is to meet their expectations.
The prime minister stated that the yellow line project would begin in a short time and the Jam Sadiq bridge tender will be given by 2 Mat, with no more tolerance for delays.
