Overview
The delivery of MG HS is no more delayed as the company has unveiled the locally assembled MG HS. The company has sold only the CBU unit of this car in Pakistan and it doesn’t fulfill the demand. It’s a need of the company to manufacture more units to fulfills the demand. Due to the COVID-19, the import of the CBU unit was never possible to reach on time. MG goes top-selling car in Pakistan and the issue of short delivery led to manufacturing locally assembled units soon.
During the event that was held on 20th, August MG Motors unveiled the locally manufactured unit of MG HS, but never close the door to book the CBU unit.

MG HS Variants
The company has offered three different variants of MG HS with different prices.
- The base variant name is Excite
- The top variant is Essence
- The third variant is the Excellence CBU unit (with digital speedometer)
The top of the line variant Essence is a copy of the CBU unit of MG HS but the company never offers a digital speedometer in Essence.
Hopefully, the short deliveries of the CBU unit will resolve soon.

MG HS Base Variant Excite Details
As I mentioned above the top variant is a copy of the CBU unit only the difference is not offering Digital Speedometer in Essence. Meanwhile, the other specifications and features are the same local manufactured unit and Excellence CBU unit. Let’s see what’s the base variants Excite offers:
Exterior
There are only some differences in the base variant exterior. Base variant Excite is available with Projector Headlights and LED rear lights but both are not dynamic, as the top variant offers both dynamic. The difference between the size of the wheels is very minor in Excite and Essence. Base variant offers 17-inch alloy wheels and top variants Essence offers 18-inch alloy wheels.

Interior
There is no other interior color option available in Base variants Excite, it’s only available in black color with red stitching. See below the other interior details:
- Manually adjusted driver and passenger seats
- Digital Climate Control
- The quality of steering leatherette is bitter low from the top variant
- Apple and Android CarPlay
However, the top variant offers more than the base variant. The difference between base variants interior feature and Essence is:
- Driver and passenger seats are power adjusted
- Dual Climate Control
- Paddle Shifter and Sport Button
- Panoramic Sunroof
- Ambient Interior Lights
These are not available in the base variant Excite.

Conclusion
the prices of CKD units have not been revealed by MG Pakistan. The company has not offered the sale of CKD units yet. The step company has taken to start production of locally manufactured cars develops the trust of consumers. MG Pakistan has just celebrated the starting production, very near company will start booking of CKD variants. The start of local production very early is the cause of the delay of CBU units, and this is a positive step that increases the value of the company.
