Until now the A-Class has always been a hatchback, but for the first time in the history of A-Class, Mercedes Benz has decided to present A-Class in a Sedan. Despite the fact that the main rival of A-Class the Audi A3 is already presented in both hatchback and A3 sedan body style for a longer time now. However, Mercedes has made the right move and presently planned for the US only but A-Class Sedan which will ultimately reach to China and other markets afterwards.

Mercedes has not revealed much information on the forthcoming car, however they did offer some prototype images. From its appearance, the car appears to be like the near-final version, and it takes an important design cues from the new CLS and the Mercedes C-Class. The car is indeed very sporty looking and will be positioned below CLA and above A-Class hatchback.

“It’s a very attractive car for younger people,” said Seeger. “But not only for younger people — it can have a broad audience because it’s a nice entrance into the Mercedes-Benz family.”

No other information on pricing, engine, and equipment is up till now available however it’s predictable that the car will share the engine options from its hatchback version but with a choice of more safety and luxury equipment. A Mercedes with a lower base price and better than average fuel economy is a sought-after position for the A-Class to be in for this market. We anticipate that it will sell just fine, but only time will truly tell this. The car is expected to be available for the masses by 2018 (US market) and 2020 (globally).
