Overview

To decrease the number of road accidents, the Punjab Emergency Service Department (Rescue 1122) has proposed a 50-kilometer-per-hour speed restriction for motorbikes.

The Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported on Monday, citing a department source, that the number of accidents in major cities is increasing. Bikes are involved in 72% of road crashes, and low-speed electric bikes can help reduce the quantity of motorbikes accidents.

Road Accidents Ratio Last 24 Hours

According to the source, in the previous 24 hours. Rescue 1122 attended to 1,121 road traffic accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab. According to the data, motorbikes were involve in the great majority of these accidents.

He went on to say that the usage of electric bikes might be a viable way to reduce accidents in many areas.

Electric Bikes can Reduce Road Accidents Ratio

He went on to say:

Electric bikes provide various advantages over regular fuel motorbikes, including reduce speed restrictions, ecologically friendly technology, cost-effectiveness, greater visibility, and enhance handling.

Electric bikes frequently have restricted speed restrictions, which can assist minimize the number of incidents caused by excessive speed. These bikes are power by electricity and emit no emissions, making them a more environmentally friendly source of transportation. Electric bikes are frequently outfit with bright lights that make them more visible on the road, especially at night.

The administration has yet to respond in this respect. However, given the government’s current interest in electric motorcycles, a reduce speed restriction for petrol bikes expect.
