The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government has approved the land acquisition plan for the construction of the 30 km long Dir Motorway. KP administration A committee has established to address any obstacles to this project and ensure that the 30-km Dir Motorway construction process has completed on time. The land purchase has already begun for the Construction of the Dir Motorway.
Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority Committee Meeting:

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan held the meeting to review the progress of mega projects in the communication sector across the province. The meeting has attended by Secretary of Planning and Development Shah Mehmood, Secretary of Communication and Works, and officials of Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority. During the meeting, participants looked over the development of major mega-projects including road infrastructure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Additionally, the initial survey for the entire proposed motorway’s length has alsocompleted.
Review of KP infrastructure and mega-projects:

The review of KP infrastructure and mega-projects covered the current status of the Dir Motorway, the Peshawar-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway, the Swat Motorway Phase 2 project, the Madyan Bypass, the Bahrain Bypass, and other large-scale initiatives. In addition, the participants has informed that the Dir Motorway will include the construction of four lanes and two tunnels.
As per sources, the details indicate that the Peshawar-DI Khan Motorway is 365 kilometers long, has six lanes, and has 19 interchanges scattered throughout the region. In addition, the Motorway will include Two tunnels be a part of it, one at Karak District and the other at Dara Adam Khel.

According to Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, the administration of KP is aiming to connect all of the province’s districts by motorways, which will offer top-notch transportation options and a favorable environment for business activity. Moreover, He directed the authorities concerned to ensure the timely completion of all ongoing projects and to inaugurate and operate only fully completed projects.
