Overview
Lahore High Court has taken a step forward for the alarming smog situation. The court has considered the factors that cause high smog levels and announced the bold decision. Justice Shahid Karim led the hearing and imposed new fines on home car wash which led to the high smog level.

New Fines
Justice Shahid Karim imposed a Rs 3000 fine on the car wash at home and a Rs 5000 fine for improper parking. The collected fines will be earmarked to the fund of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA). Because the agency is working to align punitive measures with environmental action.
