KIA Sportage PHEV introduced with same hybrid variant engine power 1.6liter with 13.8 kWh battery but the size of the electric motor is bigger than hybrid it has 66.9 kW electric motor. Only the automatic transmission is available with 6-speed. The PHEV engine can produce 177 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque whereas the electric motor can deliver 90 horsepower. The engine is powered by an electric motor to enhance the performance without taking high fuel-efficient. On the electric motor KIA Sportage, PHEV has 32 miles driving range.
Charging Capacity
A 7.2 kW high-power charger with a power density of 1.53 kM/ℓ, when connected to a level 2 charger can fully charge the PHEV KIA Sportage in less than 2 hours.
