Kia India has announced that it has crossed the milestone of exporting 1.50 lakh units in the country three years after starting production in the country, becoming the largest exporter of UVs (Utility Vehicles) in India. According to the information, Since September 2019, Kia India export 150,395 units to 95 countries to date and they only needed three years to accomplish their goal. The manufacturer exports Seltos, Sonet, and Carens from India to 95 different nations, with the Middle East, Africa, Central & South America, Mexico, and the Asia Pacific region among its top export markets.
When Kia Started Exporting Vehicles:

In September 2019, Kia began exporting automobiles from India, with the Seltos serving as the initial model. With 8,174 units shipped, August 2022 was the company’s highest ever monthly export volume. Kia Seltos contributed the most 72% of total exports, followed by Sonnet and Cairns. The firm is the largest UV exporter of the year, exporting 54,153 units in the first eight months of 2022.
What a Profitable Indian Industry for Kia:

The Indian market has proven quite profitable for the South Korean automaker Kia. In reality, Kia entered India and made a profit in just two years. For the fiscal year that ended in March 2021, Kia reported a profit of INR 1.11 crore. Kia now offers five vehicles: the Sonet, Carens, Seltos, EV6, and Carnival. The Seltos continues to be Kia’s best-selling vehicle, followed by the Sonet. In terms of bestsellers on the Indian market, Kia is now ranked fifth. In the first eight months of the calendar year 2022, the company recorded a 33.27% increase year over year and sold 1,66,167 units. This amount is 27% larger than it was during the same time the previous year, which is substantially higher than the industry’s growth of roughly 17%.
