Overview
Car makers are on the front line to announce new car prices. This is not unexpected because, after the tax increases in the Financial Budget 2023, we are expecting a new price jump in car prices. Kia car prices increased by up to Rs. 400,000 and new prices are applicable from 5 July 2023.
It is pertinent to mention that Kia was expecting a tax change in the budget and the company had announced a “Ready Deliver” promotion before the budget. In this scheme, they offered all its cars delivery at the time of payment and customers had avail price lock deal. However, that was a limited-time offer.
New Kia Car Prices
The new prices are applicable from 5 July 2023. Here is the price of its cars from 5 July 2023.
Kia Sportage New Price
The recently launched Kia Sportage Black Edition price is also increased by Rs. 250,000 and the new cost is Rs. 9,300,000 compared to the old rate of Rs. 9,050,000. Here are the prices of rest three variants:
- Kia Sportage Alpha was used to cost Rs. 7,050,000 but after an increase of Rs. 250,000, its new price is Rs. 7,300,000.
- A few days ago Kia Sportage FWD was available for Rs. 7,940,000 but after an increase of Rs. 250,000, the price reached Rs. 8,190,000.
- Meanwhile, Kia Sportage AWD’s new price is Rs. 8,820,000 against the old rate of Rs. 8,570,000. It saw the same increase of Rs. 250,000.
New Price of Kia Stonic
- Kia Stonic EX price remains unchanged and used to cost at the old price of Rs. 5,350,000.
- Meanwhile, the Kia Stonic EX+ price is revised by Rs. 120,000 and now its price is Rs. 6,050,000 against the old price of Rs. 5,930,000.
Updated Kia Sorento Price
Kia Sorento all three variants saw the same jump of Rs. 400,000 and the below-mentioned prices are according to it.
- Kia Sorento 2.4L FWD had a cost of Rs. 10,400,000 but now it cost Rs. 10,800,000.
- Kia Sorento 2.4L AWD used to cost Rs. 11,300,000 but now it cost Rs. 11,700,000.
- Similarly, Sorento 3.5L FWD’s old price was Rs. 11,390,000 and the new price is Rs. 11,790,000.
Revised Price of Kia Carnival
Kia Grand Carnival Executive price is not increased and standing at the same rate of Rs. 16,750,000.
Picanto New Price
- Kia Picanto MT stands at the same old rate of Rs. 3,350,000 and it is something good new for its customers.
- But Kia Picanto AT price increased from Rs. 3,625,000 to Rs. 3,825,000. It observes a jump of Rs. 200,000.
Conclusion
Kia offered price lock for all its cars at full payment except Carnival Executive. However, the company has not mentioned the reason behind the change in car prices. But all we know is the new terms and tax increase in the budget. Automakers are forced to increase prices due to the increase in tax because it affects the cost of production.
